Another fantastic season for Chearsley Juniors drew to a close on Tuesday. Around 80 youngsters enjoyed their final training session on a delightfully sunny evening and this was followed by the presentation of the ‘end of season’ awards.

The 2018 Roll of Honour was as follows:

Under 9s
Best Batters: Kit Chantrey & Finn Waters
Best Bowlers: Joaquim Butler & Freya Foxell
Best All Rounder: Sophia Gray

Under 11s
Best Batters: Freddie Witcher & Zara Hadley
Best Bowlers: Tiffany Pettiford & Jessica Taylor
Best All Rounder: Amelia Distin

Under 13s
Best Batter: Finlay Wright
Best Bowler: Will Mander
Best All Rounder: Jack Reading

Under 15s
Best Batter: Peter Samson
Best Bowler: Eddie Mauger
Best All Rounder: Henry Wiltshire

All the above received a special trophy and all players, including our younger 'All Stars' received a medal in recognition of all their hard work over the season.

Well earned tributes were paid to our coaches - Head Coach Leigh Tomlinson and his Ignitesport 'team' (Alex, Dan, Morgan & Dan)

……not forgetting our own home-grown coaching stalwarts – Terry Gadsby, Richard Tuxworth, Stuart Burnham, Will Sawrey Cookson and Neil (‘Tank’) Waters and the many parents who lent a hand during the season.

Thanks to all those helped run the bar and the BBQ on Tuesday evenings and a special thanks to Julia Witcher for all those home-made scones.

And finally, we are once again indebted to Angela Gray and Adam Lazaruk who worked tirelessly to make everything happen.
