A Message from CCC Chairman, Terry Gadsby

Come up and join us this Sunday for this season's Chairman's Match.

It won't just be a fun and well-contested cricket match but a most enjoyable social occasion to which all are invited to participate

On the cricketing side, I've put together a Chairman’s Invitation X1 who'll take on a Chearsley X1.

The 35 over match will start at 12.30 and this year my team will again include a number of ‘guest’ players as well as one or two Chearsley ‘stars’ of yesteryear.

The winning team will be awarded the The John Tribe Trophy and the ‘Player of the Match’ will win The Steve Vear Trophy, in memory of two former club members who played such an important role in the development of the club following its ‘re-birth’ in 1989.

The bar will be open all afternoon, tea and cakes will be available and a barbecue will follow the awards presentation after the match at around 5.30.

As last year, there’ll be raffle and proceeds will be donated to The Florence Nightingale Hospice.

Come up and join us for what will be a great social afternoon for our village…..

…..is there any better way of preparing for watching a certain football match which will be taking place in Berlin later on that evening?
