Hello Members and Friends
What a weekend......
A fantastic ‘Tony Hadley’ concert on Saturday evening, enjoyed by an audience of over 300 locals and Richard Phillips ‘Connected’ and our very own Larry Warr and ‘Déja Vu’ provided some excellent support.
Yes, the weather did mean we closed our Car Show on Sunday an hour or so before we’d planned and car numbers were lower than anticipated. Nevertheless, we had a great selection of cars on display for those attending, and, among the many award winners, our good friend, Ian ‘Perky’ Perkins won Fred Crawford’s ‘Best in Show’ trophy with his MGA Roadster.
A breathtaking flypast by a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire during the morning, and lots of food and drink choices, arts & crafts stalls as well as some great entertainment for the youngsters who joined us on the day.
A massive thank-you to 'Team Chearsley' and the many in our community who helped make it all happen.
These events will again provide invaluable funds for the continuing development of our club and we’ll also shortly be announcing a number of donations to local charitities.
However, there’s "no rest for the wicked” as they say......
